If you’re looking to try out and play new characters in the recently-released Mortal Kombat 11, then the upcoming DLC could be worth looking forward to. NetherRealm recently released a new trailer for the upcoming DLC has revealed several new characters that might be of interest to some gamers.

One of the new characters that will be introduced to the game comes in the form of Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung isn’t a new character per se and has been more or less a staple in the Mortal Kombat franchise. However, what’s fun and interesting about the Mortal Kombat 11 version of the character is that he is modeled based on Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who for some might recognize as the actor who played Shang Tsung in the original Mortal Kombat movie.

Other characters that will be part of this DLC include Sindel, Nightwolf, and also Spawn, along with two other unnamed characters. Spawn will be an interesting addition to the game, but not entirely surprising as his addition to the game was previously hinted at. We have seen how NetherRealm has in the past introduced movie characters to the game, such as Jason from the Friday the 13th movies, and also Predator.

A few years ago, it was reported that Warner Bros. had considered putting Neo from The Matrix franchise into the game. In addition to the new characters, the DLC will also add new exclusive skins and sets of gear.
