google_now_not_interested_01Google Now’s Cards on Android tends to display news and information about subjects and events it thinks you might be interested in. This is well and good, but sometimes it pulls that information from sources that you might not be too happy about. Maybe there’s a website that tends to be overly biased, or maybe they tend to get their news/updates late meaning that they aren’t as reliable as others.

The good news is that according to a post on Reddit, it seems that Google Now is giving users the choice of eliminating news sources from it. For example in the screenshot to the right, users have the option of removing a particular news source, meaning that moving forward, information on Google Now will not be retrieved from that particular source.

Like we said, you might have all sorts of reasons for not liking a particular source, such as biasedness, late information, clickbait titles, and etc. However this only affects that particular news source, so your interests will remain untouched, it will just come from other websites and sources instead.

According to the thread on Reddit, it seems that not all users have received the changes yet, meaning that this appears to be a new Google Now feature that is currently in the process of being rolled out as we speak. It is unclear if this is a regional feature but either way, keep an eye on Google Now and hopefully you should see the feature pop up in a day or two.
