News Republic is a popular news app, it sources news from 1,650 licensed publishing partners from across the globe, and today it has launched version 6 of its app that brings improved social and global features. Users can access publications from 53 countries and in 37 languages. Every day, the app curates 40,000 photographs, 1,500 videos and 50,000 full news stories from across the globe all of which is uniquely personalized for every user based on their choice in topics, sources, and keywords.

Improved social features allow users to see what those around them are recommending, reacting to or commenting on, but it also connects them with “Expert super-users” on topics that they care about. This enables the community of readers to decide what’s important to them which in turn amplifies the relevance and discoverability of news.

The latest update brings news profile which displays all of the articles a user has shared, commented on or reacted to. Users can now keep track of the surveys they have participated in. They can also follow their friends and family on the app to learn what stories interest them the most.

It even encourages friendly competition between friends, family and followers by assigning ranks. The more you use the app the higher your rank gets and you can then compete with others to stay ahead of the pack. Overall app performance with this update as well.

News Republic version 6 is live now and available as a free download from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
