umitouchWhen we talk about high end smartphones, you can be sure that both the Android and iOS platforms will have their own set of particular devices that reside in that range. However, the world of Windows Phone is clearly the pauper in this department, although the Lumia 950 and 950 XL have done their bit to go against the grain in this area, although the road ahead is still long and far. UMi Touch would like to see a change in the right direction with their latest device, the UMi Touch.

The UMi Touch is a MediaTek-powered handset that will not burn a hole in your pocket as it goes for a mere $149 a pop, and will not only deliver support for Windows 10 but Android as well. As of now, Windows 10 already supports Intel and Qualcomm chips, and to see support extended to MediaTek is definitely encouraging.

As for the UMi Touch, it will run on an octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 SoC that has been clocked at 1.5GHz, will be accompanied by a Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM, which ain’t too shabby at all. Your eyes will be enjoying sights on a 5.5” LTPS display with a resolution count of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass above. Internal memory stands at 16GB with a 13MP shooter behind and 5MP camera in front. Throw in a fingerprint sensor and you’ve got quite the interesting device here, don’t you think so?
