The HTC One Gallery was a project that the company’s research division came out with. The app enabled users to upload photos and videos to multiple cloud storage services directly through the HTC Gallery application. It doesn’t seem to be interested in keeping it around anymore because the latest changelog for the app reveals that it’s going to bite the dust come April 30th.

HTC didn’t really say why it was discontinuing the One Gallery but it could be because the app wasn’t really being used by a lot of people.

It appears that the One Gallery had between 1 million and 5 million installs, and while that might look good, consider the fact that the HTC Gallery app has between 10 million and 50 million installs.

This is probably one of the reasons why HTC decided that it didn’t make sense anymore to continue with the service, so it has decided to shut it down.

Even though it’s shutting down HTC One Gallery on April 30th, the company won’t do the same to HTC Gallery, that app is going to be available through the Google Play Store.

Those who quite liked using the One Gallery will now have to look for alternatives, HTC isn’t pointing them towards any alternatives, so they’ll have to do this on their own.
