oneplus-3-mountain-800x600The OnePlus 3 will be officially announced next week. According to the rumors, we could be looking at a phone with a 16MP rear-facing camera and as we have said before, megapixels aren’t everything, especially to the average consumer who uploads photos to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram where they tend to get compressed anyway.

Other factors that result in a good photo would include its lens, image processing software, and of course composition. That being said for those wondering about the OnePlus 3, wonder no more because ahead of the official reveal, OnePlus has posted to Twitter a series of photos that have been shot using the handset’s camera.

Now we’re not sure if the photos have undergone post-processing, but right off the bat they do come across a tad dark, but then again this is nothing a little tweaking in photo editing apps can’t fix. Apart from the fact that they do look a bit dark, the photos are pretty decent and well-composed. There’s nothing to shout about but then again, OnePlus handsets are known for their affordability, so we suppose we shouldn’t really complain.

Also note that the photos are obviously not full resolution. In any case we guess we will have to wait and get our hands on the phone to take its camera for a spin, but for now it looks like OnePlus is doing a pretty decent job with the camera so far.
