Stickers are a great way to add a layer of flair to your messages, they’re very popular among users of instant messaging services and social networks, so it’s not surprising to see Twitter come out with stickers as well. Since they’re so popular particularly among the younger demographic, Twitter appears to be following suit in a bid to remain relevant in the very competitive social media market.

Twitter users can now add stickers to their photos and get more creative with the photos that they share on the micro-blogging network. The feature will be rolled out to all users soon.

When stickers go live, users will be able to browse the rotating sets of stickers to use in real-time conversations, they will also be able to select from the library of hundreds of accessories, props, and emojis to add more fun to their photos.

Multiple stickers can be used on a photo, they can be rotated and resized as well. Stickers can be placed anywhere on a photo. Once a photo with a sticker is tweeted it becomes searchable in a new, visual spin on the hashtag. Tapping on a sticker in a tweet will take users to a new timeline where they can see how other users have made use of that sticker in their photos.

Stickers will be rolling out to Twitter for iOS and Android in the coming weeks. It will also be accessible via Twitter.com.
