lenovo-y710-cube-5Lenovo today announced two VR-ready gaming desktops at Gamescom. These desktops have been created with VR in mind, the aim being to provide new ways for serious PC games to experience virtual reality in all its glory. For this reason, the company today announced the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube and IdeaCenter AIO Y910 desktop PCs.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Y710 Cube is meant for people who want to take their gaming PC with them. The PC is housed inside a sleek compact cube which features a built-in carry handle for easy transport, it weighs just 7.4 kg. The PC features up to 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to NVIDIA’s latest GeForce GTX 1080 graphics.

It’s more than capable of handling 4K gaming, virtual reality as well as high-quality streaming. The PC comes with Windows 10 Home and will be available with up to 2TB HDD or 256GB SSD. It even comes with an option for an integrated Xbox One Wireless receiver with one Xbox One controller.

The IdeaCentre AIO Y910 is geared towards games who like to keep things clean and simple as it packs in all of the required equipment in a simple all-in-one form factor. The PC has a 27 inch Quad HD borderless display and offers the same internal hardware choices as the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube. The back panel is easily detachable and provides access to its core components for quick upgrades. Sound is provided by twin 5W Harman Kardon speakers.

Prices for the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube start at $1,299 and for the Y910 AIO from $1,799. Lenovo hasn’t confirmed the prices yet for the high-end configurations. Both PCs will be available starting October this year.
