belkin-iphone-7-adapter
Imagine you are listening to music or watching a movie on your iPhone 7. Suddenly the phone warns you that its battery is close to dying that you need to plug in a charger. Now if you don’t own a pair of wireless headphones you have to make a choice, either you continue watching or charge your phone, because you can’t do both at the same time. However, there’s a $40 adapter that fixes this problem.

If you are able to continue watching without listening to the audio through headphones, then you can continue watching and charge your phone at the same time. However, since the iPhone 7 only has one port that can be used for either charging or plugging in headphones, you have to make this choice when you absolutely must wear headphones.

Accessory maker Belkin has come up with a new adapter which enables iPhone 7 users to both charge the phone and continue listening via wired headphones at the same time. The adapter is called Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar and costs $40. It will be released on October 10th.

Belkin says that it has closely worked with Apple to develop this project which is why the Cupertino company is also going to be stocking it in its own retail stores. Clearly, Apple acknowledges that this is a dilemma that iPhone 7 owners will face regularly.

If you don’t want to put up with all this, you can always use wireless headphones with the iPhone 7, and Apple would suggest that you pick up AirPods, its unorthodox wireless headphones which aren’t exactly cheap.
