So the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have recently been launched, and while the upgraded features are no doubt welcome amongst iPhone users looking to upgrade, admittedly some of the features are considered “old” in the Android world, which also means that some of Apple’s competitors are looking to take advantage of that to poke fun of the Cupertino company.

Interestingly enough Samsung has been kind of silent since the launch (maybe they are distracted with the Note 7 recall), but it looks like Motorola has wasted no time. The company has recently released a focus groups video which shows a group of iPhone users. The person leading the focus group then proceeds to tell them that they have a prototype device on hand, which in reality is the Moto Z Droid.

According to the description, “Smartphone innovation has stalled. Leading brands are focused on incremental product improvements – display sizes increase by fractions of an inch, cameras change by a few megapixels – and consumers often have to wait two more years for the next ‘big thing.’ Watch and find out what happened when Moto hosted focus groups with Apple fans who were led to believe they were seeing (and providing feedback on) new iPhone prototypes, but instead were actually seeing the new Moto Z Droid with Moto Mods. “

The person then goes on to show off some of the Moto Z Droid’s functions and features, such as the ability to swap out accessories via the Moto Mods. Now we have to admit that the video does seem a bit staged, but even if it were we guess we get the message behind it, but which phone would you guys rather get?
