apple-mwcApple’s presence at trade shows has been pretty much non-existent for the longest time ever. Instead the company has chosen to host their own events whenever they want to announce a new product, something that has been working out for them pretty well. However could that change in 2017?

It has been recently discovered that Apple was listed as an exhibitor at MWC 2017, which for those unfamiliar is a trade show that is centered around mobile devices. Apple’s listing is said to be in the App Planet, which has been described as “a unique area focusing on the latest technology from the fast-moving apps industry.” What this means is that Apple’s presence will most likely have to do with apps rather than hardware.

However it should be noted that shortly after the company’s listing came to light, they were quickly removed from the MWC website. We’re not sure what this means as it could indicate that Apple’s presence was an error, or if maybe the Cupertino company wanted a bit more discretion, but we guess we’ll have to wait for an official statement from either the organizers or Apple themselves if we want to be extra certain.

The company had previously stated that the reason they stopped appearing at trade shows such as Macworld was because they were reaching more customers through its website and their retail stores, thus the need to be present at trade shows was no longer needed.
