If you’re shopping around for a new smartwatch, you might be interested to learn that Kickstarter darling Pebble has announced that the Pebble 2 is now shipping to its Kickstarter backers (launched in May earlier this year), and that for those who missed their chance, it is also available for pre-order.

So what can we expect from the Pebble 2 + heart rate tracker for those who missed the announcement this year? It will also come with the usual host of features that one might expect from a fitness tracker/smartwatch these days. This means that we can look forward to features like being able to count the number of steps you’ve taken, the amount of calories you’ve burnt, and it even has the ability to detect whether you’re out for a run, a short/long walk, or if you’re napping.

The Pebble 2 will even be able to sync the data it has gathered with smartphone health platforms such as Google Fit or Apple’s HealthKit. Pebble is also boasting how the Pebble 2 will last 7 days on a single charge, and will be able to display notifications and alerts from your phone.

In addition to the Pebble 2, the Pebble 2 SE has been announced which is basically a basic version of the Pebble 2 minus the heart rate tracker. For those interested in placing their pre-orders, hit up Pebble’s website where the Pebble 2 + heart rate tracker is priced at $129
