the-flashFrom what we’ve seen in the teaser trailers and the cameos that Ezra Miller’s Flash has made in the various DC movies that have been released so far, we have to say that we are pretty excited, especially when you consider that Miller’s acting of the character seems to be pretty spot on.

Unfortunately it looks like the movie’s release will most likely be delayed as the movie’s director, Rick Famuyiwa, has pulled out of the film citing creative differences. Like we said, Famuyiwa is actually the second director to have pulled out as prior to that, Seth Grahame-Smith was set to direct the movie, but he too pulled out in April and was replaced by Famuyiwa in June.

According to a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter, Famuyiwa said, “I pitched a version of the film in line with my voice, humor, and heart. While it’s disappointing that we couldn’t come together creatively on the project, I remain grateful for the opportunity. I will continue to look for opportunities to tell stories that speak to a fresh generational, topical, and multicultural point of view.”

He adds, “I wish Warner Brothers, DC, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns, and Ezra Miller all the best as they continue their journey into the speed force.” It is unclear as to who will be picking up the mantle of director, but like we said, chances are the film’s release will be delayed because of this.
