If you’ve ever used Windows then you might have played Solitaire. It’s a small game that has been included in every major Windows release for more than 25 years. It has been limited to Microsoft’s platform for over two decades but the company is now expanding the game’s reach beyond its own platform. Microsoft has confirmed today that it has released Solitaire for iOS and Android.

The game that’s headed to iOS and Android is actually called Solitaire Collection and the best part is that it’s going to be available as a free download.

The company says that more than 119 million people have played this game on Windows 8 and Windows 10 so it’s now looking for more players to join in the fun on iOS and Android.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection features Spider, FreeCell, Klondike, Tripeaks, and Pyramid game types. Players will also be able to compete in daily challenges. Xbox Live is integrated so players can sign in and compete with friends.

The company is also going to offer a Premium Edition of Solitaire Collection for $1.99 per month which is going to provide an ad-free experience as well as double coin rewards for game boosts and daily challenges.

It’s not like you can’t already find a plethora of Solitaire games on iOS and Android but many of us remember having played this game so that nostalgic effect works well in Microsoft’s favor. Solitaire Collection is now available as a free download from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
