You might not believe that it has been two years since Facebook for iOS users have been able to upload videos in HD resolution but many Android users will gladly give you a reality check. It has been two years since this feature went live for iOS users and not their Android counterparts. Facebook is finally making things right by enabling HD video uploads via Facebook for Android.

The option to enable HD video uploads through the Facebook for Android app can be found in the app’s settings menu. It’s placed next to the option that enables photo uploads in HD.

Facebook appears to have been rolling out this functionality quietly over the past few weeks and it’s now gone live for most of its users across the globe. Android users can finally upload videos to Facebook in HD via the app.

It boggles the mind why Facebook would take such a long time to flip the switch on this feature for Android users. It’s not like smartphones powered by Android are unable to record video in HD. It has made them wait for an unreasonably long time to provide a feature that was released for iOS two years ago.

Facebook is yet to provide more clarity on the matter, we’ll surely update if it sends out more information regarding this.
