Fitbit-charge-2-05If you own the Fitbit Charge 2, you’ll be pleased to learn that Fitbit has announced a massive new update for the wearable. This update will bring about 11 new tracking functions to your device, which essentially breathes new life into it and make it feel like a completely brand new gadget.

Launched several months ago, the Charge 2 is still considered to be a relatively new gadget, but hey, we’re all for added functionality and this update seems to bring that to the table. These new functions include Workout Pause Function, Guided Breathing Vibration Cues, Do Not Disturb, Improved Heart Rate Zone Display, On-Device Battery Life, a new Clock Face, Intuitive Intervals, Workout Recaps that Last Longer, Smarter Notifications, Unknown Caller ID, and Message Prioritization.

Some of these are some pretty serious upgrades and could change the way you workout. For example the workout pause function is useful if you’re jogging outdoors and you need to stop at the traffic light. Other functions might not be quite as useful, depending on the user, but you could consider some of them to be quality of life upgrades that will enhance the overall experience.

Either way these are still pretty welcome upgrades for a device that is less than half a year old, so do check it out if you have the time!
