instagram_stories_stickersOne of the features that Instagram has successfully copied from Snapchat would be its Stories. So far it seems that the feature has been pretty well-received, and Instagram is now letting users do more with it. In an update to the feature, Instagram is letting users enhance their posts with emoji, stickers, location, and more.

One of the features of Snapchat is that your posts can contain various emojis and relevant information, such as your location. There are even features like geofilters that can overlay information specific to where you are at, and in a way some of those features are now available for Instagram’s Stories.

As you can see in the image above, users can add stickers that provide location names, the time, the weather, and there are even seasonable stickers, which right now would be for the upcoming Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations. There is also a feature in which users can download their stories from the previous 24 hours.

All of this seems to suggest that maybe Instagram could eventually launched sponsored stickers. When asked by TechCrunch if this is the case, the company replied by saying, “we’re working on more creative tools that will launch over the coming months…to give our community more fun and versatile options.”
