zelda breath of the wild 3One of the launch titles that will be available for the Nintendo Switch will be The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game was originally announced for the Wii U, but its launch was delayed as Nintendo wanted it to launch on both platforms simultaneously. So far from what we can see, the game looks fantastic.

The good news is that if you’re a fan of the Zelda franchise, you’ll be pleased to know that Nintendo is apparently considering making another Zelda title for the Switch. This is according to an interview with IGN in which the game’s producer Eiji Aonuma hinted that another Zelda title is being considered for the console.

According to Aonuma, “I haven’t been able to fully use all of the new features of the system. There could be the possibility of another Zelda on Nintendo Switch.” When asked about what we might be able to expect from the next Zelda title given how big and expansive Breath of the Wild is, it seems that Aonuma isn’t too sure, but he does want to ensure that the core element of the Zelda gameplay is kept.

From what he said, it sounds like work has yet to begin on the title, so for now it’s just something that is being considered. Nintendo exec Shigeru Miyamoto added more fuel to the fire by jokingly saying, “Mr. Aonuma is the producer for Zelda. If we don’t create another one, he’s going to be out of a job, that should be his motivation for another one.”
