oneplus-2-review-23A few weeks ago, we learnt that the OxygenOS 3.5.5 for the OnePlus 2 was causing network drops for some users. If you have been afflicted by the problem, the good news is that it looks like a new update has been pushed out that seems to have corrected whatever the problem might have been.

This comes in the form of the OxygenOS 3.5.6 update that will patch the issue, so do keep an eye out for it as OnePlus has stated in the forums that the rollout will be incremental, so if you don’t see it yet not to worry as it should find its way to you shortly. In case you’re hearing about this for the first time, the previous update caused some users to experience a network drop every now and then.

However for the most part it seems to have affected users in India who are on the Jio and Airtel networks. We’re not sure if the users from other parts of the world are similarly affected, but like we said the reports seem to have come pretty much from India. If you are affected then hopefully this update will fix it for you as well.

In the meantime OnePlus has also stated that users who are affected the IMEI loss issue will still have to wait while they are trying to resolve it. This fix is not part of the OxygenOS 3.5.6 update so we guess you guys will have to remain patient.
