overwatch-mei-screenshot-001Trolls and toxic players exist across all platforms, but unfortunately for Overwatch players on the console like the PS4 or Xbox One, you guys haven’t been able to report bad behavior. The good news is that the feature will soon be arriving on consoles, according to a recent post on the forums by the game’s director Jeff Kaplan.

According to Kaplan, he confirmed that reporting is a feature for consoles that is in the works and that they are aiming for it to be ready by summer or sooner. “Regarding Reporting: This feature is coming to both PS4 and Xbox. I don’t have an exact ETA because there are many moving parts to make this happen.”

“My hope is that everything locks into place before summer… or sooner. But we’re at the mercy of things beyond our control on this one and we’ve been working super hard to make it happen.” We’re not sure what took Blizzard so long to create the feature for consoles in the first place, but like Kaplan said maybe there were certain things out of Blizzard’s control that prevented them from doing so right from the start.

Either way we guess better late than never, but until then it looks like console players will just have to deal with bad players the good old fashioned way: with patience.
