Amazon launched a refreshed version of the Fire TV Stick in the United States in October last year. It’s only a minor update but it does bring a welcome change. There’s a button for voice control on the remote which means that Alexa is always at your beck and call at the touch of a button. This dongle costs $39 in the United States and has been out for several months on this side of the pond. The company has finally made the Fire TV Stick with Alexa available to those who want it across the pond in the United Kingdom.

Amazon has now started taking orders for the Fire TV Stick with Alexa in the United Kingdom. The company has also confirmed that customers will be able to pick it up starting April 3rd.

However, it’s not going to cost the same as it does in the United States, but that was to be expected. Customers in the United Kingdom will have to pay £40 for this device.

It does have a quadcore processor which promises a 30 percent performance improvement over the predecessor. However, it doesn’t have support for 4K video, so if that’s something that you want you’re better off with its bigger sibling, the 4K-compatible Amazon Fire TV set-top box.
