Apple’s MacBook Air laptops are pretty solid devices which did help kick off the whole Ultrabook category of laptops, but it definitely looks like Apple isn’t that interested in keeping the lineup alive for much longer, especially when you consider that Apple hasn’t released a major refresh of the laptop since 2015.

In fact to a certain extent, Apple is kind of positioning its low-end 13-inch MacBook Pro as a possible MacBook Air alternative. That being said if you just can’t bring yourself to justify paying for the smaller and arguably underpowered 12-inch MacBook, or the 2016 MacBook Pros, you’ll be pleased to learn that Best Buy has further slashed the prices of the MacBook Air down to $900.

What this means is that compared to Apple who is selling the same model for $999, you’ll be able to pick one up for yourself in a similar configuration for $100 cheaper. However note that since the MacBook Air hasn’t been refreshed since 2015, save for a bump in RAM, you’ll be using “old” technology.

In case you’re wondering about the specs, we’re talking about a 13.3-inch 1440×900 display, with an Intel Broadwell dual-core Core i5 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. It will come with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of SSD storage, a SDXC card reader, a Thunderbolt 2 port, 2x USB 3.0 ports, and a MagSafe adapter. If you reckon that this is still a good deal, then head on over to Best Buy’s website for the details.
