Purchasing games digitally these days is the norm as companies have realized that sometimes gamers just want a game right now, and don’t want to have to drive out to a store where stock may or may not be available. Each console platform approaches their store differently, and for those curious about the Switch, you’re in luck.

In a video recently uploaded by Nintendo, it gives us a quick look at the upcoming console’s eShop in which gamers will be able to purchase games digitally (assuming the title they want is available as a digital download/purchase). These lists and categories are expected to be constantly updated, so you’ll always be able to find something new.

That being said, Nintendo is trying something new with the Switch, and that is linking your digital purchases to your account. This means that in the event your Switch is damaged and you need a new one, you’ll be able to download your games again easily, whereas with the Wii U it was pretty much linked to your hardware.

At the same time Nintendo also confirmed that your digital games are limited to one per system, meaning that if you have multiple Switches or if you plan to share an account, it’s not like you’ll be able to buy one game and share it across 5 different devices at the same time.
