When you’re driving and you get a notification, there’s a good chance that you’re probably really curious as to what it might be about. Could it be an important email that you’ve been waiting on all day? Or could it be a message from your family about something urgent? Or could it just be a friend saying hi?

We suppose you’ll only know when you check your phone, which if you’re driving is really something you shouldn’t do. Samsung Netherlands understands that which is why the company has launched an app (via SamMobile) called “In-Traffic Reply”. As the name suggests, this is an app that will reply your messages for you while you are driving.

It seems that the app is smart enough to know when you’re in the car and when the feature is enabled, it will automatically send the other person a message when they send you a text or call and let them know you’re driving and cannot reply at this time. Users can further customize the message if they want something a bit more personal.

The app appears to be in beta testing at the moment and we’re not sure if there are plans to bring it to other markets, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for its release for if and when it does.
