If you’re in the market for a new monitor that is large enough to get all your work done and then some, you might be interested to learn that LG has a new monitor for you. The company has recently taken the wraps off their latest monitor (via Engadget) that comes in the form of the LG 43UD79-B.

This is a 42.5-inch display with a 4K resolution and thanks to its size, it seems that you’ll be able to connect up to four different devices to it and have a four-way split screen experience that you can see in the image above, which reminds us of a similar monitor Dell unveiled last year. Whether or not you’ll actually use the feature remains to be seen, but the option is there should you choose to take advantage of it.

The monitor will sport an IPS panel with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 178-degree viewing angle, a 60Hz refresh rate, and also features such as Game Mode, Black Stabilizer, and Dynamic Action Sync. It will also play extra nice with computers that use AMD’s Radeon GPUs as it will be compatible with AMD’s FreeSync technology.

In terms of pricing and availability, AnandTech is reporting that it will be going on sale in Japan on the 19th of May where it will be priced at 83,000 yen which is around $745. However websites like Adorama have priced at at just under $700 and are already accepting pre-orders.
