Last year Microsoft launched the Xbox Design Lab which basically gave gamers a way to customize their Xbox controllers. However in case the options presented to you weren’t enough, not to worry as Microsoft has since announced that they will be giving users expanded customization options moving forwards.

According to Microsoft, “Today, we’re excited to announce that we are adding even more customization options based on fan feedback, now giving you over a billion design combinations to choose from. We’ve also refreshed the design interface for a more seamless experience and will be launching Xbox Design Lab to more countries starting today.”

For those unfamiliar, the Xbox Design Lab previously allowed gamers to customize the look of their Xbox controllers, changing the color of the buttons, the controller itself, the D-pad, and so on. With the expanded options, Microsoft will be adding more color options, new thumbstick colors, new metallic finishes for the D-pad and triggers, and also the option to add black rubberized grips for better control and comfort.

Microsoft has also announced the expansion of the Xbox Design Lab to the UK, France, and Germany (earlier this year they stated that there were no plans to expand yet, but looking back we guess they didn’t want to announce it yet). This expansion will continue to other countries in Europe this summer, so head on over to its website if you’d like to start customizing your controllers with the new options.
