Google’s products and services cater to different users and needs, ranging from regular consumers and also to enterprises who might need slightly more powerful tools and services to help better manage their company and their activities. Now it looks like Google is expanding its business offerings with the launch of Chrome Enterprise.

So what is Chrome Enterprise? Basically it is a platform in which businesses can better manage Chrome OS devices, so if your company does own quite a few Chromebooks, then Chrome Enterprise will be one of the ways that you can manage them more efficiently, which in a way you could liken to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

According to Google, “Chrome Enterprise offers a host of features, including access to enterprise app storefronts,  deep security controls, 24/7 support, as well as integration with cloud and on-premise management tools, VMware Workspace ONE and Microsoft Active Directory.”

Chrome Enterprise will be a subscription-based service which is priced at $50 per device. This is a flat rate and will be charged on an annual basis. So if you are a company looking for a better way to manage your host of Chromebook laptops, then maybe Chrome Enterprise could be a service worth looking into. Google is expected to share more details about the service in a webinar come 24th of August, so head on over to Google’s website and register your interest.
