Instagram is looking to make its Stories feature more interactive so it has announced the launch of a new feature that will make users interact more with them. Instagram has introduced a new interactive poll sticker for Stories today. The sticker lets users ask a question and see results from their friends and followers come in as they vote in their poll.

Adding a poll sticker is as easy as adding any of the plethora of stickers that are available on Instagram. Simply drag and drop it in the story and the app will present options to customize the question and choices. Friends and followers who see the poll in Stories will be able to tap on a choice to vote. They will see the overall results so far after that.

Users can see the results of their polls by going to the viewers list for that particular image or video in their story. They will get to see the total vote numbers, people who voted, and what they voted for. Just like Stories, the poll and its results will disappear automatically after 24 hours.

Instagram has added new tools to make Stories more creative. There’s a new color picker for text and brushes as well as an alignment tool for text and stickers. A new eyedropper icon can be found on the far left when choosing a color for text or the drawing tool.

It can be used to select any color from the photo or video and to apply it to the text or drawing tool. iOS users will find that when they position text or a sticker on their photo or video, new blue lines will pop up to help them center it.

These updates have been rolled out today as part of Instagram version 17.
