If you’re someone who sits at their desk all day, then you know that having a good chair is important. This is why there are various companies who have created office chairs designed to be ergonomical and comfortable. However if you’re looking for some next-level comfort, Thermaltake might have the answer.

The company has recently taken the wraps off its latest gaming chair offering in the form of the X COMFORT AIR. On the surface the chair looks like any typical gaming chair, with a headrest and also support for the lower back. However it differs from the competition by integrating a cooling system into the chair itself, where users can choose between different levels of cooling. Basically it comes with fans built into the chair that will cool your butt as you sit.

According to Thermaltake, “In order to achieve maximum cooling performance, the air cooling optimized design of the X COMFORT AIR directs streamlined airflow through the seat base via aerodynamic compression, thus preventing unnecessary air loss for maximum airflow efficiency.” They also add, “Use of a special five-fan blade design based on automotive industry tech allows the four built-in cooling fans to generate even greater volumes of air for improved airflow and speed.”

The company is claiming a 75,000-hour lifespan, which based on our math and assuming you use it for 24-hours non-stop everyday, you should be able to squeeze about 8.5 years out of the fan before it fails. We’re not sure if there is a need for such a chair, but if you think that this is something missing from your gaming setup, then head on over to Thermaltake’s website to place your order where the X COMFORT AIR is priced at $500.
