Apple’s mobile devices are some of the most sought-after gifts during the holiday season. The company has topped new device activations during the holiday season almost every year and 2017 is no different. The latest report from Flurry Analytics shows that iOS devices have accounted for 44 percent of all smartphone and tablet activations over the holiday season. A third of those activations were accounted by new devices like the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus.

Even though the new devices have accounted for a third of all activations, the top two spots for Apple activations have actually gone to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 with 15.1 percent and 14.9 percent respectively.

The report is based on data that was analyzed by Flurry Analytics during the holiday period. The firm examined activations of new smartphones and tablets in the week leading up to Christmas and the end of Chanukah.

The report mentions that Samsung’s activation rate has increased five percent compared to last year. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 possibly contributed to that. However, Samsung devices only accounted for 26 percent of all 2017 holiday activations. That’s almost half of Apple’s 44 percent.

Besides these top two manufacturies, the companies that saw the most number of activations in the week leading up to Christmas include Huawei, Xiaomi, Motorola, LG, Oppo, and Vivo.
