[CES 2018] As virtual reality gaming takes off, PC manufacturers are coming out with new machines that are capable of playing VR titles right out of the box. That’s precisely what the Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop 5680 does. Dell’s new gaming desktop has been developed with the needs of the PC gamer in mind. It also doesn’t hurt that it has a cool design as well.

Customers can expect great performance as configuration options include up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors with 64GB RAM. The machine meets Dell’s Ready for VR standards by supporting NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060 and 1070 discrete graphics cards.

There’s a 1TB single storage drive option. Customers can also get dual storage drives with a combination of SSD + HDD. Intel Optane accelerated options are available as well. The high-performance 7.1 Channel HD audio will immerse players in their games.

Upgrading the desktop will be easy with PCIe x16 expansion slot and support for up to four storage devices with up to 460 Watt power supply.

To make sure the machine runs cool, it has an intelligent thermal design and component placement that allows for optimal airflow as well as efficient noise control.

Dell is now selling the Inspiron Gaming Desktop 5680. Prices start at $749 and go up accordingly depending on the configuration.
