Considering the popularity of Square Enix’s Chrono Trigger title, many gamers were probably delighted when Chrono Trigger found its way onto Steam. Unfortunately that’s where the delight ended because based on reviews, the game is something of a mess due to the fact that it appears to be a direct port of the mobile version of the game.

What this means is that there are certain aspects of the game that have been clearly designed for mobile and not PC gaming, which ended up creating a less than ideal experience for PC gamers. However thankfully Square Enix is aware of these complaints and have since announced that they will be looking into the issues that have been brought up.

In a post on its Steam page, Square Enix writes, “Hi everyone, thank you for the feedback you’ve shared so far regarding Chrono Trigger. We wanted to let you know that we are reading and listening to your messages and are aware of all of the issues that you’ve raised, which we are currently assessing. Please keep an eye on the Steam page for further information. Thanks for your patience and support.”

It is unclear how Square Enix plans on rectifying the problem, but either way for those who have yet to buy the game, perhaps it is advisable to wait until Square Enix comes up with a solution before purchasing it.
