Huawei made its entry into the clamshell laptop business not too long ago and the company launched a brand new model at the Mobile World Congress 2018 back in February. The new laptop, called the Huawei MateBook X Pro, has been designed to compete with the best of the pack in the high-end ultra-thin segment. Those who have been waiting to pick one up will be delighted to know that the MateBook X Pro is now on sale in the United States.

We mentioned in our MateBook X Pro review that it’s an excellent concept which appears to have been designed with great care. It’s meant for those who are creatives and more productivity-oriented.

It features an Intel Core i7-8500 processor under the hood with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Customers can also opt for an i5-850U version. The MateBook X Pro also features a discrete GeForce MX150 GPU and Thunderbolt 3 for connecting external storage or 4K displays.

It has a 13.9 inch 3000×200 pixel resolution touchscreen display with a claimed screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. Additional ports include a USB Type-C port, a USB Type-A port, and a standard headphone jack.

Interested customers can purchase the MateBook X Pro in the United States starting today. It costs $1,199 for the Core i5 model and $1,499 for the Core i7 configuration. It’s available from retailers such as Amazon and also through Microsoft’s website.
