Microsoft is expected to make a Surface-related announcement tomorrow. It has posted a teaser on the official Surface Twitter account which hints at the possibility of a new product launch. If recent reports are to be believed, the highly anticipated cheaper Surface tablet may finally be launched tomorrow. Some evidence has surfaced to suggest that the new Surface tablet may be available for purchase starting this Friday so there might not be a long wait before customers can actually pick one up.

Microsoft’s cheaper Surface tablet is expected to cost around $400. It will be able to better compete with the iPads and Chromebooks at this price point since all other Surface tablets have been relatively more expensive.

The FCC recently certified an unreleased Surface tablet as well which only added to speculation that such a product is in the pipeline. There aren’t a lot of details available about the specs right now but the tablets are likely going to be powered by Intel’s Pentium processors.

A seemingly official document has surfaced on Reddit which suggests that the new Microsoft device will be listed on the company’s Store come Friday, June 13th alongside a new Type Cover. This raises the possibility that this tablet may be available for purchase only a couple of days after it’s announced.

We’ll come to know for sure about this tomorrow when Microsoft makes the official announcement.
