YouTube Annotations is a really powerful tools as long as it is in the right hands. It can be used to engage viewers and help them understand what is being displayed in the Video. However, not everyone knows how to handle annotations and just clutter the video with these speech bubbles.

This is extremely annoying for the viewers, they are not here to read a blog post, they want to see what is inside the video. If you are tired of these Annotations as well, then it is time to get rid of them.

In this tutorial, we are going to show you different methods to disable Annotations, you can just use the one that works best for your situation.

Method #1: Close the Annotation on the Video

This is the most simple thing you can do, but in most situations this is all you need to do. For example, if a specific annotation is blocking an important area of the video, you can just close that single annotation to view properly. This way, you will not have to get rid of all the other important annotations and also able to view the video.

All you have to do is, move your mouse cursor over the Annotation which you would like to close and a “X” (cross) button will be shown on the top right corner of the annotation. Just click on the cross button and the annotation will go away.
