Google Nexus One Parts Cost $174

The folks at iSuppli have taken a closer look at Google’s Nexus One, and estimate that the phone’s raw parts cost $174, which is a whole $5 less than the cost of Apple’s 16GB iPhone 3GS when new. Despite its lower cost, the Nexus One sports a faster processor, larger and AMOLED-based touchscreen, as well as more RAM. Apparently the price difference may be due to the Nexus One using a 4GB removable microSDHC card, compared to the 16GB built-in storage of the iPhone. Interesting figures, but we’re already wondering how much Apple’s iSlate tablet and iPhone 4G will cost manufacture.
