VISA testing instant transaction confirmation alerts

Knowing what’s happening (in real-time) in your credit card account can be priceless, so Visa is testing a real-time notification system for mobile phones. Users can tweak the alert level (all or only expensive items) and choose if they prefer SMS or Email (cheaper). At the moment, VISA employees are testing the system to work things out. Now, it remains to be seen if the system will be free, once it opens to the public.
