
What happens when you don’t want to shell out your hard-earned money for an emergency lamp that you could use in the event of a blackout? Well, if you’re any resourceful as the folks over in Nairobi, you could build one of the (very obviously) homemade lamps. It’ll fit a light bulb, and is powered by batteries (obviously). It’s certainly not steampunk, but it’s still quite cool.
