Sporting giant Adidas has come up with a new range of Adidas shoes that can features an integrated augmented reality marker, turning your pair of sneakers into a controller for online games. Sounds like fun, at least while the shoe is new because a pair of well worn sneakers will certainly offend your olfactory sense. Adidas’ Originals Augmented Reality shoes aim to deliver on the premise of augmented reality where virtual objects are superimposed onto real life, thanks to a simple marker sewn into the tongue. You can choose from Superstar, Stan Smith, Forum, Nizza and Samba models, logging on to the Adidas Neighborhood after that to play games online with their shoes. Prices range from $65 to $95, depending on the model of your choice. Looks like another gimmick just in time for summer, eh?
