LG Vortex heading towards Verizon Wireless in the US

The holiday season will soon be upon us, where there will be a mad shopping spree, never mind the fact that data suggests we’ve been out of a recession for quite some time already despite feeling otherwise. Verizon Wireless will most probably have something worth looking at in the form of the LG Vortex that you see above. Some say that it is similar in many ways as the Optimus One, where it will share some specifications as with its European counterpart in the form of a 600MHz processor, a 3.2-inch HVGA display, GPS navigation support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated FM radio and Android 2.2 Froyo as the operating system of choice. Could it be the LG Ally’s replacement under the Verizon banner? Only time will tell, but guess LG intends to capture the entry-level Android smartphone market on both sides of the Atlantic.
