Trekbot micro-robotic racer

Children learn through playing, and it is no surprise that the toy department is often where kids want to go to at the store while parents check out more practical items like the week’s grocery supplies and such. Well, Desk Pets International (HK) Limited has come up with the Trekbot, a unique hubless micro-robotic racer that is able to perform sharp turns, headstands, and full flips while moving at extremely fast speeds. The Trekbot comes with a built-in USB charger for you to keep it juiced even at the office, doing away with the need for batteries as well as rechargeables. The law of diminishing returns apply here though, as it takes twice the amount of time to charge compared to its net playing time. In other words, keeping it juiced for 30 minutes will only net you 15 minutes of play, something to consider if you have an impatient kid. You can pick yours up for $19.99 at Toys “R” Us and RadioShack stores, where some of the features are explained in the extended post. In the mean time, let your hair down and have some fun at the office with the Trekbot! [Press Release]
