Android 2.2 Froyo update for Epic 4G delayed again?

In what will certainly be disappointing news for Samsung Epic 4G owners out there, it seems that the previous rumor of the Android 2.2 Froyo update for said phone didn’t materialize. It was said that the Froyo update will be arriving on December 26^th, but it’s nowhere to be seen and reports are in that the update is “on hold” and will be released “sometime in the near future”, hardly encouraging words. The issue of getting Android 2.2 Froyo on Samsung’s Galaxy S phones has been a disappointing one, and hopefully Samsung and carriers will be able to solve it soon, since we’re fairly sure that the users are on the losing end of this situation.
