[CES 2011] Here we are at CES Unveiled, a couple of days before the floodgates to the world of consumer electronics are fully opened to the general public, and have scoured the landscape for interesting devices to pique your interest. Among them would be the BodyMedia FIT Armband BW that boasts cutting edge Bluetooth wireless technology, letting you connect the armband with a compatible smartphone for easy body monitoring weight management wherever you are. Basically, it will take information collected from users’ Armbands and sending it over to your phone for easy viewing. This kind of instant information at your fingertips should be able to deliver that extra kick for the less motivated in making healthier choices in the day. Among the information collected and shown are calories burned, steps taken and real time physical activity, not to mention keeping a log of food consumed throughout the day. Out since last November, the BodyMedia FIT Armband BW will cost $249 outright, while those who want to subscribe to the BodyMedia FIT Activity Manager can choose from monthly, half yearly and annual subscriptions at $12.95, $9.95 a month, and $6.95 a month, respectively.
