The X Series of handsets from Finnish phone manufacturer, Nokia, will be getting a brand new addition to the family soon – we’re looking at the X1-00 which has just arrived at the FCC. Of course, the good people over at the FCC have approved the X1, and similar to the Nokia X2-00, this will take on a candybar form factor. Apart from that, there seems to be a speaker located at the back, where it will run on 850/1900 MHz GSM connectivity. Since there isn’t a front facing camera, chances are pretty high that there won’t be any 3G support with this puppy. Out in China and India in due time, it should be more affordable than the X2 so chances are pretty good it will retail for somewhere around $50. Will it arrive Stateside? There’s always a chance once the FCC passes it, but who would want to settle for something so mediocre these days? Clearly, this is more of a developing nation’s phone.
