It has been a while since we last saw a Nokia tablet, but we can’t say we’re surprised. As far as tablets are concerned, Apple’s iPad is too dominant and we imagine that other manufacturers would probably want to focus on other devices instead. That being said, it seems that Nokia could be trying their hand at a tablet again.
This is according to a tweet by the Nokia Mobile Twitter account which teased that on the 6th of October, a new Nokia tablet will be announced. Almost nothing is known about this device at the moment, although the tweet does state that it will be “everything you’d expect” from a Nokia phone, except in tablet form.

HMD Global has been pushing out Nokia phones every now and then, but for the most part it has been budget devices and not high-end flagships, so based on this tweet, we can only assume that maybe the company could have some kind of low or mid-ranged tablet that would be cheap enough to appeal to the masses.
Also, as the tweet does not mention it, we’re not sure if this is going to be an Android device or if maybe Nokia could be planning a Windows tablet. Either way, we should have more details on the 6th of October so check back with us then for more updates.
