Qualcomm shows off the power of their new Snapdragon CPUs

Qualcomm, the manufacturers of the popular Snapdragon processors that are used to run Android phones, has recently released a teaser video to show off their upcoming dual-core processors. Called Desert Winds, the game shows off the graphic processing prowess of the next generation Snapdragon CPUs. Their dual-core processor features the Adreno 220 graphics processor that is capable of more 3D effects, smoother stereoscopic HD gaming, and is touted to be power-efficient as well. Qualcomm has been late to the dual-core scene, but the teaser shows us that what they have in store for us is worth the wait. In the near future they will also be promoting premium content that’s been optimized to run on their processors. Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. The modern concept of CPU is usually a silicon chip that performs two basic tasks: its control unit fetches instructions from memory and executes them and the arithmetic logic unit (ALU) computes basic math and logic operations. The CPU is a critical component in a computer.
