Galaxy S II 3 million

55 days after the Samsung Galaxy II went on sale; it looks like Samsung has got another winner on their hands. The company recently celebrated a major milestone for the Galaxy S II: 3 million units of the phone have been sold in just 55 days. That’s about a month faster than the original Galaxy S that took 85 days to hit 3 million units. And when you take into account that the Galaxy S II isn’t even up for sale in the US, that’s pretty impressive.

It looks like Samsung can do no wrong with its Galaxy S line up of Android phones. Hopefully support for the phone (if it comes rebranded and remade differently for each carrier in the country) won’t be as shabby as it was for the first generation of Galaxy S phones (we all know how that story went). If sales keep up at this rate, Samsung won’t have any problems reaching its 11 million goal by year’s end. How many of you have gotten a Galaxy S II or plan to get one this year?
