We do know that Nikon has been working on a new mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, where a couple of mockups have already been spotted online. It does seem to carry the same kind of clean design that resembles that of the Coolpix P300, where there are no dials located on the top plate – which is rather interesting. In addition to that, a speaker will see action on the top plate, while a pop-up flash and/or flash hot shoe for an external flash is also available.
These new mirrorless lenses might also come with electronic zoom buttons according to a particular patent, and apart from that, do expect to see additional functionality being introduced for the first time ever in a mirrorless camera.
