The Nikon D6 Has (Sort Of) Been Officially Announced

The other day we heard reports that Nikon could be getting ready to launch its next DSLR, the Nikon D6, on the 4th of September. It turns out that the rumors were right because Nikon has sort of officially announced the camera. We say “sort of” because the camera has yet to be launched, but rather the announcement is more of Nikon saying that it is in development.

Nikon D6 Could Be Announced On September 4

We have been hearing bits and pieces of rumors regarding Nikon’s next DSLR, the Nikon D6. It was initially suggested that it could be launched in October, according to Nikon Rumors, but now a follow-up report from Nokishita has suggested that we could be getting the camera a lot earlier than expected.

Some Nikon DSLR Cameras Might Be Replaced With Mirrorless Models

DSLRs were the cameras that many professionals used back in the day, but then mirrorless cameras came along and the game was changed. This is because mirrorless cameras are smaller and lighter than DSLRs, making them more ideal to be carried around, plus with some of them sporting full-frame capabilities, some pros have actually replaced their DSLRs with mirrorless cameras.

Nikon Confirms New ‘Pro’ Mirrorless Camera Is In The Works

Last year, Nikon launched their brand new Z-series of digital cameras. These cameras are Nikon’s latest and renewed efforts at tackling mirrorless cameras and so far, initial reviews have been largely positive. However, if you feel that maybe the Z7 might not be “pro” enough for your needs, Nikon has you covered.

Nikon Could Have A Mid-Range Mirrorless Camera In The Works For $900

With the launch of the new Nikon Z-series of full-frame mirrorless cameras, it saw the company change up its strategy and approach to mirrorless cameras. Unlike the company’s previous attempts, the new Z-series seems to be much more well-received. Unfortunately, they do not come cheap, making it a bit inaccessible for those who aren’t necessarily professionals.

Some Nikon Z6, Z7 Cameras Are Experiencing Faulty Vibration Reduction

One of the features of the new Nikon Z6 and Z7 mirrorless cameras is vibration reduction. It has been around in various Nikon cameras and in case you’re unfamiliar with what it does, it basically reduces vibrations caused by small movements that occur while shooting photos. Given that it would be near impossible to hold a camera perfectly still, this feature tries to offset those small shakes from our hands […]

Nikon D6 Rumored To Sport Built-In Sensor Stabilization

Nikon DX series of cameras have always been aimed at professional photographers or discerning hobbyists who have the cash to splash. However, if there was ever a feature missing from its lineup that we’re sure many photographers could appreciate, it would be sensor-based stabilization (also known as in-body stabilization).

Alleged Photo Of Entry-Level Nikon Z1 Camera Leaked

As some of you might be aware, Nikon is trying their hand at mirrorless cameras once again. In 2018 the company launched the Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras that have since been met with good reviews, but they aren’t the cheapest cameras around either. However according to a report from Nikon Rumors, the company could be planning an entry-level unit.

Nikon Unveils Updated Roadmap For Its Z-Mount Lenses

The problem with adopting a new camera system is that lens availability tends to be a bit scarce at the start in terms of variety. This is versus long and established camera systems that have been building up their portfolio for years. This is one of the downsides to adopting the new Nikon Z mirrorless cameras, but Nikon definitely has plans to change that.

Nikon To Add New Features To Its Z Mirrorless Cameras In Firmware Update

The quality of a photo taken by a camera is determined by many things, but hardware plays a huge role. However sometimes image quality isn’t everything as photographers might appreciate other features in a camera that could make their lives and jobs easier. The good news for Nikon Z camera owners is that you can look forward to some new features soon.

It was last year that Nikon announced the launch of their new Nikon Z full-frame mirrorless cameras, the company’s “serious” attempt at trying their hand at mirrorless cameras. However as is the case with new mounts and cameras, the availability of lenses are limited, but Nikon is hoping to make up for it.

Nikon D760 Rumored For 2019 Release

Full-frame mirrorless cameras are usually perceived as being expensive because generally speaking, professionals are the ones who can probably appreciate the full-frame sensor more than the average hobbyist photographer. However if an entry-level full-frame camera is something you might be interested in, Nikon could have something for you in 2019.
