Nokia seems to be reaching out to their customers through the internet these days. We recently reported that Nokia was getting customer feedback on what they should name their next Windows Phone 7 handset, and now it looks like Nokia is offering up $10,000 to whoever can come up with their next signature ringtone.

Nokia has a very unique ringtone that they have been using through the years, with each evolving but yet somehow maintaining the hook and melody that people have come to associate with Nokia. Now Nokia wants someone to come up with their next ringtone which apparently cannot stray too far from the original, while sounding updated and hip to match their new image.

If you feel like you have what it takes to create the next Nokia ringtone that Nokia claims will reach out to 100 million handsets, just head on down here where you will be able to submit your songs and/or vote for those already submitted. Granted $10,000 isn’t a lot when you think about how much you could make in royalty, but it’s a chance to go down in history, so why not give it a shot?
